MVLT Board Welcomes New Member

MVLT is thrilled to welcome Charlie Witherell to the Board of Directors. Charlie is an active member of MVLT's Stewardship and Finance Committees and has worked with the office over the past year to create a wonderful new database system. He has a great sense of humor and has given a great deal of time and energy to helping MVLT- he has captained boat rides down the river, he is a volunteer steward for one of our easements, and he is our go-to guy for technology questions. Charlie lives with his wife, Claire, in Waldoboro. The Witherells have been coming to Maine since 1949 and have a cottage in Friendship. Charlie worked as a consultant systems engineer for IBM for 24 years before moving to Maine in the late 90's. He teaches adult education computer courses in Waldoboro and Damariscotta and is bookkeeper for the Waldoboro Public Library.

Charlie's financial and technical expertise, along with his energy and enthusiasm, will be welcome assets to the Land Trust's Board. Charlie joined the board in September and will be brought before the membership for approval at the 2007 Annual Meeting in November. Welcome Charlie!
