children's activities
River Festival will include lots of fun activities for
the whole family! Children can build their own wooden boat, explore
marine life up close in a touch tank, or get to know some of the animals
in our critter corner. We will also hold a different River Relay
at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30, which will all be fun,
water-themed events.

Everyone had so much fun building boats last year
that we have decided to offer this great opportunity again!
Kids can build and decorate a toy paddle boat propelled by
tension in a rubber band. Materials are provided free of charge. |

The touch tank allows kids of all ages to learn
about marine life hands-on. Starfish, urchins, and other typical
tide-pool residents will be available for kids to see and
handle. |

The critter corner will include a sampling of animals
from goats to frogs and many species in between, providing an opportunity
for children to become familiar
with some of the other inhabitants of the Medomak valley.
