Priorities for Protection:

Fresh and saltwater shorelands, lakes, ponds and wetlands

Wildlife habitat, including corridors connecting large tracts of undeveloped land

Lands that support traditional uses, such as farming, blueberry growing, woodlot management, hunting, fishing, and access to the water

Scenic areas

Geographic diversity, to protect land throughout the watershed

As of January 2008 MVLT has conserved 2548 acres, with 785 acres of preserves and 1763 acres under conservation easement.
