South East view of the Union Common. The Robbins House is at the far left and still has the porch and the barn. The Vose block is next to the house at the corner of Common and Depot Street. (The tall building in the foreground was called the "Vose Block"). It contained the Creighton store.
South Union crossing the Crawford Brook. The car probably belonged to the Eastern Illustrating Company who published the postcards. To the right the Hoyt Store can be seen. Many of the houses remain today.
South West view of the Common. The Burton House is on the left in the foreground. The Odd Fellows Hall is the tall square building and the Robbins Block is next to it. The Odd Fellows Hall ws burned in 2004; fortunately the buildings on either side were saved.
Common Road heading west at Sunk Haze. The Fossett Bridge shown is now in a different location. The building with the Texaco gas pump was known as the Bessey Mill. Across from it was the Fossett Store.
