Sophia Barnard and Suell Cummings married at Union 4FEB1818. He was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Robbins Comings (Rich and Bet Of Come Spring fame), born 17SEP1789 and died 6MAY1868, buried Lakeview. Sophia was born (where?) 17SEP1798 and died 22JUL1890, buried Lakeview. Can anyone prove she was the daughter of Nathan and Sarah Wellington Barnard?

Does anyone have any information relative to the genealogy of the Augustin Thompson lineage from the John Thompson, who arrived in Ply mouth MA and was christened there in May of 1622 and married Mary Cooke, daughter of Francis Cooke on 26 December 1645; to the John Thompson, who died at Barretstown (Hope) in 1791.There are possibly 4 generations to be identified between 1645 and 1792.

Ebenezer
Alden came to Maine as a young man to help General Knox in the construction
of his mansion, Montpelier, in Thomaston. Ebenezer then moved to Union, designed
and built a home which still stands. He got involved in various industries including
a small store which now stands on the Alden house property.
Ebenezer's ancestors include John Alden who came to America from England in 1620 at the age of 21 as a passenger of the Mayflower.
Few of Ebenezer's children remained in Union although most stayed in ME. Horatio, the first probate judge of Knox County, moved to Camden. Louisa, Melina and Ebenezer jr. moved to Thomaston. Silas moved to Bangor. Of the remainder most stayed in Union, Augustus remaining at the homestead. James G. was the only child to leave ME and moved to Janesville, WI.
