Windjammer Cooking: Great Recipes from Maine's Windjammer Fleet is selling well and we've got plenty more still currently in stock. Each of the captains of the twelve vessels in the Maine Windjammer Fleet has contributed histories, photographs, recipes, and stories in collaboration with Smith/Kerr Associates, LLC, to produce a 154-page volume that features chapters about each schooner, 200 breathtaking, full-color photographs, and more than 50 recipes. An introductory chapter describes the windjamming experience and the various islands in the Penobscot Bay area and, of course, a section of the cookbook is devoted to our traditional Down East Lobster Bake.

We are happy to autograph the Isaac H. Evans chapter for you, and you'll find some of your favorite Evans' Galley Goodies featured, including Eileen's Black and White Chocolate Chunk cookies--a recipe that found its way from the galley of the Isaac H. Available in soft cover, Windjammer Cooking: Great Recipes from Maine's Windjammer Fleet will make a wonderful gift for friends and family who love to cook and to eat, and it is a "must have" for anyone who loves the sea and the proud, time-honored traditions of historic sailing vessels.

As you know, each of the vessels in the fleet has its own style, and as you'd expect, each captain has his or her own distinctive writer's "voice," so although the chapters are structured similarly, the writing styles vary, creating a unique collection of stories and recipes that are as individual as each windjammer. Many of the recipes are typical of down-home, Down East, schooner-style comfort food, and several are upscale gourmet delights.

These ornaments, magnets and bookmarks are made in Norway, Maine, using natural colored hardwoods (walnut, maple, and cherry.) The bookmark measures 7 7/16" x 1 1/4", the ornament measures 4 5/8" x 3 3/4", and the magnet (not shown) measures 2 3/8" x 1 3/4". The magnet looks just like the ornament without the hanging cord.

Our embroidered T-shirts are available in a variety of sizes and colors: periwinkle blue, citrus, berry, and green in S, M, L, XL. Child sizes, XXL, and XXXL are available via special order. 100% pre-shrunk cotton.

Our embroidered hats are currently available in the color shown (khaki hat with light blue brim) and beige with forest green brim. One size fits most with a leather adjusting strap.

This T-shirt is available in Navy Blue, denim blue, powder blue, black, olive green, and maroon in S, M, L, XL, XXL. Other sizes are available via special order. Hanes Beefy-T 100% pre-shrunk cotton. We have some youth L in Navy and maroon.

Ceramic Mugs

Our ceramic mugs are available in white with a blue imprint or in cobalt blue with a white imprint.

Our embroidered duffel bag is made in Maine with the finest materials. The fabric, #8 Dyed Canvas, 100% Cotton Duck, is crafted into a convenient duffel with handles, a shoulder strap, and a #10 Marine Zipper. Its dimensions are chosen specifically to meet airline carry-on restrictions (12" diameter by 23 1/2" long). One outer pocket allows you to store tickets or a paperback for easy accessibility during travel. Available in our signature color of Forest Green.
