Change your IP address in XP

To change your IP address please flow the step by step instructions below.

NOTE: These images are just samples to provide help.

  1. First you want to select: Start>Settings>Control Panel.
    In some version you may on have to click: Start>Control Panel


  2. Great! Once you have done that you should see the screen below or similar.
    Now you will want to click: Network and Internet Connections
    NOTE: You may only see Network Connections. If so skip the next step.


  3. Awsome! So far so good. Now you should see the screen similar to the one below.
    Now you want to click: Network Connections


  4. OKay! Next you should see this below screen.
    You will now want to: Right Click on Local Area Connection. Then select: Properties


  5. Cool! Now you want to Click on: Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then select the Properties button.


  6. Great! Now enter all the information your Midcoast Internet Solutions technical engineer may have issued to you. The screen will look similar to the following:
