Thunderbird Email Account Setup


Thunderbird will prompt you for setup information after it has been installed and

is loaded for the first time. Choose the option Email account and then click Next.


(If the Account Wizard does not load you can go to >Tools >Account Settings >Add Account)





In the Your Name field simply type in your name as you would like it to appear.

In the Email Address field type your email address that you have with midcoast.com

It should appear like this: username@midcoast.com

Click Next.





Your incoming server type is POP (which should already be selected.)
Type midcoast.com for both Incoming Server and Outgoing Server and then click Next.


(If your email address is at another server then the server name
would be that server: example, lincoln.midcoast.com, kona.midcoast.com )




On this screen enter your username in the Incoming User Name field and then click Next.





In the Account Name field type your email address that

you have with midcoast.com and then click Next.




You have now finished entering all the information needed for Thunderbird.

Click the Finish button and Thunderbird is now ready to use.
