Midcoast Internet's Internet Accelerator brings you the benefits
of a high-speed connection, without adding significant extra expense!
No special phone lines are needed! No special equipment! Your current
Internet account can be "accelerated" with no major changes on your
part! This new system is perfect for individuals who don't want to
spend a lot extra for high-speed services, or for those people in
areas where there is no high-speed service available.
Here's how it works...
At our data center in Rockland, a special server sits on our high-speed
backbone. When you request a page from the Internet, the server fetches
the page, and then compresses it. It passes the compressed page to
you, where a piece of software decompresses the data. This service
works well for web browsing.
The service is Free
with your connection service.
NOTE: This is for Dialup Customers Only.
