Regular DSL:

- Increased speed and throughput - upto 800kbps*
- One MIS email address
- 20 Mb of server space

Installation Options:
Free Self-installation. Pick up the Modem and Accessories
Package at the MIS office of your choice and install it yourself.
Call us for phone assistance if necessary.

$75 MIS professional installation. MIS staff will come to your
home or office and install the DSL modem and accesories to get a computer
working with the service.
Equipment:
$99.95 Modem and Accessories Package includes:
- Pre-programmed Paradyne 6381 DSL modem/router/firewall with DHCP server capability
- TrippLite power and phone line surge protector
- One single-line phone filter
- All necessary cables for connecting one computer to the service.
The computer(s) needing DSL service should have an ethernet network jack
to connect to the DSL equipment.
Some installations may require additional items including line filters,
ethernet switches, or special routers. These can be supplied at an
additional cost. MIS does not install network cards in computers, nor
does the company run wiring, do any work on electrical or phone cables,
or install wall jacks. Please make sure that you have these items in
place and functioning properly before requesting service.
* Actual DSL speed is limited by factors that include, but are not limited to,
distance from the phone company switching gear, internal home wiring
quality, and type of DSL service equipment used at the phone company's
switching equipment location.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a $95.00 fee charged by these phone companies,
which we pass along, for any accounts that cancel service within one
calendar year from the date of the telephone company's initial programming
and installation. Customers interested in seasonal service should contact
our DSL Coordinator for more information regarding applicable fees.
