Individual Dialup Connection

The Individual Dialup Connection is suitable for individuals or small businesses who want to use the internet with their personal computers. Commercial, Shareware, or freeware software will be recommended and/or provided depending on what sort of computer you have. You may already have the software to do the job. If so, here are the settings. This plan meets the needs of most users. Custom variations of this plan can be made and we'd be happy to work with you.

Each Account Receives

  • Three electronic mail addresses, each consisting of a prefix of upto eight alpha-numeric characters and a suffix of @midcoast.com. It'd look like xxxxxxxx@midcoast.com.
  • 50 megabytes of disk space on Midcoast Internet's server for web pages, old mail, etc...
  • PPP dialup connection and access to telnet/shell account interface
  • Access to USENET News
  • Written instructions for getting started and instructions for installation of software that is given to you.

Costs

  • One-time setup fee of ten dollars.
  • Twenty dollars per month allowing unmetered connect time for one computer at a time.
  • Setup fee is waived if switching from another provider.
