August 2004

• August 30, 2004 7:00pm. Westport/Wiscasset customers are working properly again. Verizon found and replaced a broken conductor which fixed our circuit. We are still working on replacing them.
• August 30, 2004 3:40pm. An extended power outage caused a 5 minute outage at our Benner Hill site. This cause problems for Union, Thomaston, Island locations, and some Rockland customers. We ran on generator until power was restored.
• August 30, 2004 10:10am-3:15pm. Westport/Wiscasset customers are again having problems due to the Verizon T1 problem. Verizon is working on it at this moment. We will soon be replacing this Verizon circuit.
• August 26, 2004 10:10am. Westport/Wiscasset customers are again having problems due to the Verizon T1 problem. Verizon is working on it at this moment. We will soon be replacing this Verizon circuit.
• August 24, 2004 3:30pm. Tommy's and Metinic island wireless customers will experience a brief outage while an upgrade is performed at Benner Hill.
• August 19, 2004 This morning, Ragged mountain wireless customers may experience short outages while things are upgraded at Ragged.
• August 18, 2004 Westport/Wiscasset customers are again having intermittent problems due to the Verizon T1 problem. Verizon is more interested in installing other circuits on time today that in troublehsooting or repairing existing customer links. We will soon be replacing this Verizon circuit.
• August 17, 2004 6:00-6:10am. Some servers are being rebooted for software upgrades.
• August 13, 2004 3:00pm. Luwak, the email server for hosted domain email, was upgraded to support network checks for rejecting spam. It now performs the same network checks that our other email servers do. This means less spam arriving into the domain email addresses of hosting customers.
• August 12, 2004 12:00pm. Westport/Wiscasset customers are having trouble due to a Verizon T1 problem. We have contacted Verizon about this and they are working on it. We are also working at replacing the T1 with a higher speed and more relialbe wireless link.
• August 12, 2004 10:00am. Wiscasset wireless customers are experiencing an intermittent problem. This was fixed by replacing equipment in Wiscasset.
• August 10, 2004 12:30pm. Union wireless and dialup experienced two brief outages while an antenna was changed and lightning protection equipment was installed.
• August 9, 2004 12:15pm. Union wireless and dialup will experience a brief (5 minute) outage while an antenna is replaced.
• August 9, 2004 11:00am. Verizon claims to have fixed their problem with the Westport/Wiscasset wireless system. We are still working on replacing them.
• August 5, 2004 12:00pm. Westport/Wiscasset customers are having trouble due to a Verizon T1 problem. We have contacted Verizon about this and expect they are working on it. We are also making arrangements for long term replacement of this T1.
• August 2, 2004 8:00am. Some Belfast wireless customers are having problems this morning. We will be replacing equipment there this morning to correct this.
