- February 27, 2006 9:15-9:40am. Some customers had trouble
surfing the Internet during this time. We believe it was related to a
short outage upstream of Midcoast. Things are working fine now.
- February 27, 2006 UPDATE: The problem was located and
promptly fixed. We will be replacing the faulty equipment later today.
Early morning. Tommys and Metinic islands are currently down, we have
sent someone to investigate.
- February 22, 2006 Early morning. Damariscotta DSL customers
will experience an outage while Tidewater replaces or fixes some
problematic equipment.
- February 21, 2006 3:20-3:35pm There will be an outage for
about 15 minutes while equipment is being upgraded in Union. This will cause
Union wireless and dial up users that use: 785-6622 to be out of service
during this time.
- February 20, 2006 UPDATE: We have corrected the problem and
all should be well now. Customers may need to reboot equipment if not
back online. 8:20AM A problem has been found on North Haven, that
affects 99% of its customers, we are working hard to fix the problem
right away.
- February 19, 2006 9:30am A outage occured for people whom
use Tommys and Metinic Islands. The problem has been located and corrected.
- February 17, 2006 UPDATE: The equipment seem to have needed a
quick reboot. All is fine now. 12:48pm. The repeater on Quarry Farm road
in Edgecomb appears to have stopped working. We are investigating.
- February 16, 2006 12:30pm. The Tidewater area DSL upgrade is
complete.
- February 16, 2006 While trying to fix last night's DSL problem that
affected some of our DSL customers, the Cisco router which is needed to
provide this service crashed. We believe it will be more reliable and faster to
program the remaining Tidewater area DSL customers onto the new system. (Recently
upgraded customers are unaffected as they are already on the new system). We are
working on this task this morning.
- February 15, 2006 6:00pm. Some Tidewater DSL customers are
not able to browse or get email, though their DSL line seems to being
up. We'll be contacting Tidewater first thing in the morning.
- February 13, 2006 During this afternoon and the next few
days, DSL customers in the Tidewater and Lincolnville Tel areas will be
moved to a new system on our end. This may cause a few minutes outage
and no changes are needed by the customer.
- February 10, 2006 Downtown Damariscotta DSL customers are
experiencing trouble today due to a problem with the phone company DSL
equipment. Tidewater is working on the problem.
- February 9, 2006 North Haven wireless customers are experiencing
a performance problem. We are investigating.
- February 9, 2006UPDATE: Noon. Power and service as been restored to Ragged
Mountain. 10:30am. We are seeing a problem with wireless service from Ragged Mountain.
This outage was caused by ice buildup on the electrical service and will be restored
as soon as the ice can be removed.
- February 4, 2006 We are in the final testing stages of
the new Internet Accelerator software and hope to be able to begin
getting the software to customers next week sometime. An announcement
will be made when we are ready.
- February 4, 2006 The problem at Metinic Island has been
fixed.
