- January 30, 2002 Recently some people have been having trouble
with the 563-6644 number in Damariscotta. We recommend changing to either
563-8999 or 563-6622.
- January 17, 2002 1:40pm Service on Ragged Mountain is restored.
This affected wireless customers who use Ragged Mountain.
- January 16, 2002 About 3pm, Benner Hill had power restored.
This permitted wireless customers of Union and Benner Hill to have access
again. Dialup for Union was also restored.
- January 16, 2002 589-3003 for Liberty is working again.
Northland fixed a bad line card. Ragged mountain is without power still,
as is Benner. Ragged will be started fine automaticaly when power returns
there.
- January 16, 2002 Benner Hill has lost power again, presumably
from repair efforts of CMP. They are aware of the outage. This causes
Union to be out of service as well.
- January 16, 2002 Storm repair update: Yesterday afternoon, our
Union locations received power again and things were restarted there.
Benner Hill also received power yesterday afternoon. Last night, our
wireless location overlooking downtown Damariscotta received power. We
still have to restart some equipment on Benner Hill to restore connections
to users of the island based repeaters. We also had work to do on Ragged
Mountain, but last we knew yesterday, there was no power there for the
chairlift and the snow was too deep for snowmobiles to climb the steep
hill. We hope that is ready today. Folks inland will probably laugh at us,
but the coast got hit much much harder this storm than the legendary ice
storm of 1998. Northland has been notified about 589-3003 and should be
working on it.
- January 14, 2002 Union, Benner Hill, and several other locations are without
power. This affects dialup in Union, as well as wireless in several areas. Things will
be working when CMP gets power restored. If your radio has no signal strength, that is
the problem, and you will have to use dialup until CMP fixes power.
- January 13, 2002 2pm. Union's service as well as 593-9397 are
having problems this afternoon. We are investigating.
