- June 29, 2003 5:00-5:15pm. Some wireless customers weren't
able to access the internet during this time. This was due to an error
in configuring one of our ethernet switches.
- June 23, 2004 2:00pm. lincoln.midcoast.com email addresses
now have the same excellent virus protection and better anti-spam
upgrades that midcoast.com email has.
- June 23, 2004 1:00pm. Thomaston wireless received an upgraded
backhaul link today. This should improve performance for all Thomaston
wireless customers.
- June 22, 2004 3:00pm. lincoln.midcoast.com server will be upgraded
at this time. All is intended to go well, and the interuption should be no
more than ten minutes. This upgrade happened at about 3:30pm and went
well.
- June 20, 2004 8:30-8:45pm. The server for midcoast.com was
out of service for an unscheduled rebooting.
- June 15, 2004 People are having trouble with yahoo and google
this morning. We see the trouble and think it's somewhere on the
internet, not on the MIS network. This was determined to be an
internet-wide problem related to Akamai - a company that works with
these larger internet sites.
- June 11, 2004 8:10am. A problem with the reboots of the prior
hour prevented some midcoast.com users from checking email. (Email
arrived to the servers fine though). This has been fixed.
- June 11, 2004 6:45-7:05am. Some servers are being rebooted
for a software upgrade at this time.
- June 9, 2004 A newsletter has just been sent out. A copy
of it is here.
- June 8, 2004 There is a problem with the Verizon T1
that serves our Westport and Wiscasset wireless customers. Verizon
is working on it.
- June 7, 2004 6:00-6:45pm. Some people had trouble visiting some
internet sites during this time. We traced this down to a problem with New
Edge Networks, an internet provider "upstream" from MIS. We
disconnected our links from NewEdge during this time and traffic took a
different path that is working properly.
- June 4, 2004 2:00pm. lincoln.midcoast.com was out of service for
a few minutes for an unscheduled rebooting.
