News & Notices
May 2001
- May 29, 2001 8:00am. The T1 to Liberty needed to be reset this morning.
We think that lightning may have been the cause of the outage.
- May 17, 2001 11:10-11:40-am. Some people were not able to
get to some sites. This was caused by an ATT upgrade we were
performing (which didn't go quite as planned.) Things are fine
now, and this should provide slightly more performance and
reliability. 12:54 pm: There are still some issues for some
customers. ATT is working on correcting this.
- May 14, 2001 7:30am. Lincoln, the server for Damariscotta, had
to be restarted this morning. It was back in service before 8:00am.
- May 13, 2001 Happy Mothers Day. The router serving damariscotta
and washington is having some sort of suspicious trouble. We are
investingating the cause of it. This causes performance problems for those
people until that is fixed.
- May 12, 2001 11:00am. The T1 serving to Damariscotta/Wiscasset
went down. 11:50am - Traffic has been rerouted to Damariscotta via another
route while it is being fixed. Verizon tells us this is a Verizon problem
in the Bath/Wiscasset area and when that gets fixed, the circuit will be
working again. (Our backup route is not through Verizon)
- May 12, 2001 This morning we are having some serious upstream
problem with our primary internet connection. (Both redundant connections
aren't working right). They have been contacted and are working on fixing
it. 9:20am A C&W engineer fixed this for us. A router in Boston
was misbehaving and wasn't totally fixed until after I reported our
problems.
- May 2, 2001 This evening, we are experienceing some trouble
with 563-8999. Someone will be investigating. We are also having trouble
with Benner Hill, which is affecting performance for Union customers and a
few wireless customers. This will be worked on in the morning.
