- May 20, 2005 11:30am. Something a little strange is happening
with outgoing email. While it appears to users that mail is being sent,
it's actually stalling at the server. You can use MailMan if you have
urgent mail that needs to be sent. Incoming mail isn't affected. JP is
working on the problem now.
1:00pm. All is fine at this time.
Mail was
being delayed due to a customer's infected computer pumping 193,000
pieces of virus and spam at our outgoing email server.
- May 18, 2005 5:50pm. New spam filtering features were
installed
to slow the tide of German spam.
- May 18, 2005 3:40pm. A router was changed for our Belfast
wireless network. A few Belfast customers may need to restart their
firewalls if this interupts service.
- May 13, 2005 1:00-2:15am. Saucer.midcoast.com was down
for some unscheduled repair work during this time. (The server's
hardware was replaced). This affected webmail use
and proxy server use during this time.
- May 11, 2005 11:10am. Midcoast.com email addresses starting
with the letter z,k,d, and r have been moved to an upgraded email
server.
- May 8, 2005 11:00am-12:30pm. Saucer.midcoast.com was down for
some unscheduled repair work during this time. This affected webmail use
and proxy server use during this time.
