WireSizer 2.0 copyright 1996 Mercury Marine Electric , All rights reserved

WireSizer 2.0 gradually developed from a spreadsheet program to this version written in Visual Basic 3.0

The intent of WireSizer 2.0 is to facillitate the design of a marine electrical system in accordance with Standards and Recommended Practices for Small Craft of the American Boat and Yacht Council and NFPA 302 Fire Protection Standard for Pleasure and Commercial Motor Craft 1994 Edition.

WireSizer 2.0 calculates the appropriate wire size with regard to the current load and the total circuit length. In addition the program includes as parameters the operating voltage, the allowable percentage voltage drop, ambient temperature and the number of energized wires in a bundle. Ampacities used in the calculations can be selected according to the wire's insulation temperature rating. The program has the capability of saving calculations along with a description of the wire run and to perform a tally of wire sizes and lengths.

I'm still making this version available, however any upgrades will occur in versions 3.x

This download is compressed in a .zip file.
