ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

NORTHERN PART OF NAMIBIA

(80 MILES SOUTH OF ANGOLA)

After our bush pilots gathered us at Victoria Falls we headed for Namibia. But first a short stop at a rather desolate airport in Namibia to meet custom officials for clearance. Then we resumed our trip and landed near our accomodations, Mokuti Lodge at the Eastern entrance to Etosha National Park.
Main building of the Mokuti Lodge, our home for two nights. Lots of elephants to see
Mother and child A Kudu waits and keeps a sharp eye
As does a lone giraffe A Dikdik remains well camouflaged.
Tired of waiting, a Zebra runs past a heard of Oryx. But not the Tortoise, he takes his time.
An Oryx peers at us from the brush. "Wake up its time for lunch". Warthogs by the watering hole.
A Greater Kudu waits for his picture. We found this guy on his way to a watering hole.........
...but it was somewhat busy.... ....as you can see.
These young Kudus thought it best to move on..... ...because the big guy took it for himself.
PS: After his drink he laid down in the shade of the nearest tree and thus had the whole place to himself. How inconsiderate!
We leave this land of water holes with an abundance of animals for our next adventure.
"Take you anywhere you want to go airline". We board Namibia Air for Windhoek.
...Namibia's Capital Windhoek is next.
