Welcome to Angel Country!

Angelis Press is an independent small-press publisher based in Rockland, Maine. We specialize in inspirational publications, based on true accounts of people's experiences with Guardian Angels. Our purpose is to enlighten and encourage our fellow humans, by increasing awareness and celebration of God's participation in their daily lives.

Our first book, Angel Country (Angelic Encounters:True Stories from Maine) was released November 1, 1995. Written by Rockland author Ria Biley, Angel Country is a collection of true-life experiences contributed by people from all over the state of Maine. The author's premise is that the state of Maine itself harbors a concentrated angelic presence, evidenced by the myriad of details that make life in Maine "the way it should be. "

Angel Country is reviewed on-line at WINGS Magazine and ATHENA Magazine, and has received national attention from FATE Magazine (December 1996) and ANGEL TIMES Magazine (issue 6.)

Angel Country has gone from a local-interest curiosity into an international export. Already in its third printing, readers from all over the United States and Australia can now find Angel Country in their local bookstores. Angel Country has been awarded the Maine Media Women Communications Award for Non-Fiction, Honorable Mention in the Writers Digest National Self Published Book Awards, and selected by Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance as its No. 2 best-selling non-fiction title for 1996, from a field of over 1,800 titles by Maine authors. The Rockland-Thomaston Area Chamber of Commerce nominated Angelis Press for its 1996 Entrepreneurial award, recognizing it as "a startup enterprise which has made an important impact" on the local business community.
