Coastal Christian is an
independent, evangelical K-12 school founded in 1979. CCS seeks
to reflect to midcoast Maine students the love of God and His desire for a personal
relationship with them while maintaining high academic standards
in classes taught with a Biblical worldview. The 15 faculty members and
the staff strive to demonstrate Christ's love to each student and to
help each one achieve his or her God-given potential.
Coastal Christian employes a traditional classroom style of teaching
and uses textbooks published primarily by Bob Jones University Press, A
Beka, Saxon, and Holt. Stanford Achievement testing is
performed annually at all grade levels. A low student to teacher ratio
allows for indivualized attention for each student.
The majority of the students at CCS reside in Lincoln County and Knox
County, but several students also travel from Waldo, Sagadahoc, and
Kennecbec County. |
