Prayer Shawl
The Prayer Shawl Ministry Knitters meet weekly on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the church lounge (at the back of the sanctuary) to knit shawls, which are prayed over and blessed, and given to anyone who stands in need of comfort. The hands of the givers and the hearts of the receivers are blessed, warmed and enriched by this shared experience of the power of prayer and God’s unfailing faithfulness.
Ladies Guild
This group for all women of the church meets at either noon or 1:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month except for January, February, July or August. The women enjoy luncheon, or dessert and a program, as they work in fellowship to enrich our church life. The Ladies’ Guild sponsors spring and fall rummage sales, and a holiday fair at the start of the Thanksgiving-Christmas season.
Men’s Fellowship Group
This group for men meets the third Monday of the month at 6:30pm for dinner and fellowship at the church.
Men’s Prayer Group
This informal group meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm for a time of support and confidential sharing for men.
Prayer Chain
Lift up your concerns to God through the prayer chain network. Start the chain by calling the church office. All requests are confidential.
Visitation Team
A faithful group which makes regular home visits to members of the church family who are shut-in or live in nursing homes.
Sharing the Sermon
Each Sunday’s sermon is sent by e-mail or regular mail to a regular list of recipients. Copies are printed and put in the literature rack in the church lounge. You can ask to be added to the sermon mailing list or just request a copy of a particular sermon.

Daily devotional guide provided free in regular and large print format.
Soup Kitchen
On the fourth Saturday of each month, Rockland Congregational Church is responsible for the free soup kitchen held at St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Rockland. Our volunteers provide, prepare and serve a meal to 25-50 people.
Cub Scout Pack 206 and Boy Scout Troop 206
Rockland Congregational Church is the charter organization for these active Scouting groups, providing meeting space and other support.
Blood Pressure Clinic
The Parish Nurse holds a Blood Pressure Clinic immediately after worship on the first Sunday of every month. No appointment necessary.
Healthy Living Class
The Parish Nurse facilitates a class on all aspects of healthy living on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in Fessenden Hall.
Balance Class
8-week sessions twice a year (in the spring and fall), led by a physical therapist, for people with balance issues. The one-hour class is at 9:00 a.m. in Kimball Hall.
Lending Library
A mobile lending library is available on Sunday mornings and after other meetings, offering a selection of contemporary Christian fiction and non-fiction for adults and children.
