One of Maine's largest fishing ports, Rockland is known as "The Lobster Capital of the World" and serves as the retail center and county seat of the midcoast area. Church members reflect the diversity of local communities in age, financial resources and chosen work.
In the Congregational tradition, this church also serves as a "Meeting House" for local organizations. The facility is fully accessible to all with ample parking and an elevator between levels. The church reaches out to people and organizations in a number of ways. We support our national and regional affiliations financially and with volunteer participation and do the same for summer camp, the local food bank and soup kitchen, and many charities.
We promote and participate in ecumenical activities throughout the midcoast by joining with other faith communities in common endeavors and worship. The church also sponsors Cub Scout Pack 206 and Boy Scout Troop 206 for boys and young men in the Rockland area.
At least 10% of pledge monies received from members and friends of the church is dedicated toward supporting local, national and international service programs and ministries.
