Actually, I'm probably proudest of the first place trophy I won at age 17 in the Kent State University dramatized news event for high school journalists. It was a tall, gold/bronze cylinder. When I came home with it, my mother looked at me, puzzled and annoyed, and demanded to know why I was carrying around a standing ash tray.
