About Me

Tide's End Farm is a working horse farm on the coast of Maine. On locations is a lovely Bed and Breakfast that is private enough to be a romantic getaway for a couple or spacious enough to be perfect for groups or families. We can be the ideal setting for womens' groups, mother/daughter vacations and even small wedding parties. We also specialize in educational farm vacations, riding vacations, special weekends and daily lodging in our lovely salt water farm bed and breakfast. Read about Tide's End Farm B&B, where you can stay in country comfort in a 1770's home overlooking the riding facility, all situated on a hill surrounded by the ocean. We are happy to have guests that are more interesed in vacationing in this beautiful location, so interest in horses is not required! We have amazing wildlife here on the island, so photographic opportunities abound. Hike and swim right here on the property, or visit beautiful Reid State Park, just 5 miles from us. We are close to fine restaurants, plenty of shopping and many activies such as sea kayacking. Special packages available.

1776 house at Tide's End Farm

" Tide's End Farm, a bed-and-breakfast tucked away on a turtle-shaped spit of land off Sheepscot Bay called the Knubble. The location is Georgetown, a fishing town just southeast of can take lessons, or just relax and read on the screened porch overlooking the cove....Liia Becker is a perfect host, welcoming, but never hovering. The bed-and-breakfast is set in a white clapboard, 1770s farmhouse, one of the last remaining original homes in the area, which Becker has updated. It's not too fussy, and plenty comfortable, with polished pine floors, fresh flowers in the bedrooms, and a screened-in porch."

By B.J. Roche,Boston Globe Correspondent, 9/14/2003

"Tide's End Farm offers a women's retreat that is a welcome getaway from high-stress jobs, relationships, kids and life. Becker sees more women taking time for themselves to come to the farm and enjoy all that the program has to offer, and in the process nurturing themselves through their relationship with the horse....Becker's integrated approach, which helps address both the mind and body, helps create a meaningful, worthwhile experience for all participants."
