Malone Boatbuilding's reputation has always rested on the
ability to do fine woodworking. Our original mission was the
building and repair of classic wooden boats and that focus on
woodworking craftsmanship continues to be the heart and soul of our
work. However, we do much, much more and take pride in our
versatility and ability to provide a wide array of boating services.
Whether it be a classic wooden boat in need of woodwork, or the
upgrading of a fiberglass boat to suit modern layouts, we can do it. Some of our other capabilities and services include: * yearly maintenance for regular customers * painting and varnishing * engine work * metal work * fiberglassing * mechanical systems * electrical systems * electronics installations * re-powering |

Some specialized work, such as Awlgripping, refrigeration, sail
repair, upholstery, and canvas work is contracted out. We replace
rigging (standing and running) and do work on spars. We take
pride in our fine restorations of wooden canoes and we are an
authorized Old Town Canoe repair shop. Yet most of our work is on
larger boats, and the shop can accommodate watercraft up to 60 ft. loa. Even though we are not situated directly on the water, we have full capability for haulout and launching of boats. Drinkwater Boat Transport does an excellent job of moving boats to and from the water. An arrangement with a local marina allows us to step and unstep masts at the harbor. We can take charge of all other launching and haulout needs, as well as perform repairs on the water. |

| We have limited indoor winter storage facilities with the recent addition of a 5000 sq. ft. building,. There is outdoor storage available as well. Spars are stored indoors on a spar rack. Batteries are kept charged throughout the winter in their own area. We also have some bins available for gear storage. | ||||
