Mainely Girls has consulted with numerous communities about establishing girls' programs. The original Camden Girls' Festival has served as a model for five others in Deer Isle, Millinocket, Old Town, Portland, and Waterville. A few other local community programs Mainely Girls has been involved with includes: Circle of Strength: This group offers a safe, supportive environment for young people struggling with weight issues, body image, self-esteem, and other concerns that can make a person feel unhappy. It is facilitated by two licensed professionals. Anti-Barbie Poster: As a direct response to the unhealthy, unrealistic body image which dolls like Barbie promote, Camden/Rockport area high school girls designed and marketed this poster to educate their peers.
