The Source of Information For and About Girls in Maine

Mainely Girls, a state-wide, non-profit organization, was founded in 1996 with a two-part mission: to work with rural communities to assist them in focusing on girls' needs in a
positive, preventative, and proactive manner; and to work on the state level to bring about positive change for girls.

Changes In Store For
Next Year's Girls' Conference

Mainely Girls has planned the Girls' Conference for 17 years, and now it's time for us to step down from our leadership role. We hope this event, so empowering for our midcoast girls, will continue with community support. We are looking for dedicated, energetic individuals who are interested in continuing the conference.

Have a passion for girls' issues? Love event planning? A committee is forming to carry on the event, and the next meeting will be in September. Contact us for more information on how to get involved.
