Girls Are Talking About It In Zoey's Room
In view of the recent tragedies, many girls want to connect with each other on topics suddenly very important to them. Zoey's Room is providing a place for girls to discuss their concerns by posting a message board on their website where girls can write about how they're feeling in all this chaos. Don't keep it inside, post it on-line at www.zoeysroom.com.

The message board is being monitored and responded to by Erin Brockette and Vanitha Nair, Zoey's Room creators.

Vini says, "We at ZR Central are very troubled by the recent tragedies here in the United States. Our hearts go out to the many families who lost loved ones in the violent acts. I am an Indian that grew up in Canada and the US. Though I love India and its rich culture, America is the only home I know. Its diversity is what makes this country so unique. I am saddened that other Americans of Middle-Eastern and South Asian descent are now being targeted.

"The aftermath of these events has an effect on all of us. The purpose of our site is to help address concerns that girls are facing. Are you angry, scared, confused or do you feel you are not affected? Do you have a Middle-Eastern friend that you feel may be subjected to prejudice? Do you want to do something but don't know what to do or where to go? Please share any thoughts you have on this topic on Zoey's message board."

If you've never been to a message board before, it can be kind of confusing. Here are a few tips to help you log into the Zoey's Room message board:

• You have to register your name before you can post a topic on the Zoey's Room message board
• Click Login (Top Left corner)
• Click join (3rd from the left) on the top menu of ezboard.com
• You will have to provide your email, address and create a name and password in order to post topics at Zoey's Room (This will take about 5 minutes)
• An email will be sent to you by ezboard.com, our message board host
• Your name and password will not work until you check your email sent by our host and verify your account by clicking on the link they provide in the email
• Return to the Zoey's Room message board area and click Login again
• Now enter your name & password and post a message!
