River Festival will include lots of fun activities for
the whole family! Children can build their own wooden boat, learn
how to tie all sorts of knots, explore
marine life up close in a touch tank, or get to know some of the animals
in our critter corner.

Everyone had so much fun building boats last year
that we have decided to offer this great opportunity again!
Kids can build and decorate a toy paddle boat propelled by
tension in a rubber band. Materials are provided free of charge. |

The touch tank allows kids of all ages to learn
about marine life hands-on. Starfish, urchins, and other typical
tide-pool residents will be available for kids to see and
handle. |

Knot Tying

The critter corner will include a sampling of animals
from goats to frogs and many species in between, providing an opportunity
for children to become familiar
with some of the other inhabitants of the Medomak valley. |

The knot tying station will let kids learn some
useful skills! Whether they're sailing or climbing, we
will have the knot for you. Knot requests welcome! |
