Trail Work Schedule
The 2008 trail work schedule will be finalized later this spring. We will begin in March as soon as the snow is gone, and hold at least one work party each month throughout the spring and summer. If you would like to be contacted about trail work opportunities, email Katie at volmvlt@midcoast.com.

Reef Point Preserve We will be doing spring trimming and maintenance along an existing trail at this property, and possible addressing some muddy areas and poison ivy along the trail. Meet at the MVLT office to carpool as parking is limited. |

Burkett Mill Preserve (off Goshen Rd. in Waldoboro) Help us build two small bridges to cross streams at Burkett Mill. Meet at the preserve. |

Mill Pond and Burkett Mill Preserves A group of middle school students will be visiting two of our preserves to do some trail work for their school service week. We need a couple of adult volunteers to help supervise work crews on these days, and we are also looking to borrow a few pairs of clippers for the kids to use. |
Helping with MVLT trail projects is fun and rewarding, and a great way
to get outside! Wear shoes and clothing appropriate for outdoor work,
and be sure to bring water, insect repellent, and work gloves if you
have them. Tools such as loppers, bow saws, and rakes can also come in
