This is where it started. My folks bought a student
sized accordian for me when I was about 6 years old and signed me up for lessons.
I'm not sure if it was the accordian, or my desire to play baseball in the
street with my friends that did me in. I just never seemed to get the hang of it.

Then I moved on to the saxophone for a brief time
through the school band...but that didn't stick. Then it was the trumpet...way
too loud for my taste...

Then nothing for a very long time until I discovered
an old beat up Harmony six string guitar in a lawn sale for 25 bucks. I took it
with me for my first handful of lessons before the instructor suggested I look
at other guitars that might be a little easier to play.

Since then, I've been working on classical fingerstyle
guitar picking and have owned two Taylors, and a Gurian. All beautiful guitars,
but I'm particularly fond of the Taylor 610 - very rich and mellow sounding.
