Cruise the Coast of Maine with America's Historic Fleet. Windjamming in Maine is a wonderful way to escape the hectic pace of the '90s, complete with spectacular scenery, outstanding food and interesting shipmates. Three-day getaways mix seafaring adventure with the majestic beauty and serenity of the Maine coast. Our traditional six-day package promises total immersion in the restful routine of shipboard life, varied ports-of-call and a night of all the lobster you can eat. On every cruise, lighthouses, seabirds, seals and porpoises abound, with ever-changing scenery around every rocky bend.
When you're not dining on delicious meals, sunbathing or taking in panoramic views, every day there's opportunity to go ashore and explore a tiny village or hike on an uninhabited island. Back on board, simple accommodations for between 20 and 44 passengers, depending on the size of the ship, consist of single, double and triple cabins. All of the vessels offer hot showers. In common areas below deck, passengers can relax around the wood stove, play a hand of cards or share life stories into the evening. One night a week is set aside for a sumptuous lobster bake on a deserted beach. The sailing season extends from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, with special events scheduled throughout the summer. Prices range from $350-$775 for three- to six-day cruises, all meals included.
