Schooner Yacht HERON is a US Coast
Guard inspected vessel and is family owned & operated.
Captains Bonnie Schmidt & Nigel
Bower are USCG licensed and have been sailing for over 25 years.
The last 11 years they chartered
their boat SHANTIH II from Rockport Harbor, Maine.
Before that their sailing has taken
them on several trans-Atlantic trips between Europe and the Caribbean
and sailing the Atlantic seaboard
from the Caribbean to Canada.
Bonnie also has a degree in Environmental
Education and loves to share her knowledge of the marine life of Maine.
Nigel "Twig" is a Master Shipwright
and has been restoring & building wooden boats since 1987. Schooner
HERON is his latest project.
Daughters Elissa & Rachel have
been sailing since they were born and are at home on the boat. They
really
know their
way around the bay and are the
first to point out any wildlife. Join them for the sail of a lifetime.
