RSTP also raised $1,000 to restore the Civil War Monument at the Shore Village Museum.
A "Wall of Fame" project was completed whereas sixteen of Rockland's most famous citizens were honored with a display of their photographs and accomplishments recently hung at the new Rockland City Hall. An appropriate ceremony is being planned to dedicate the display.
Working in conjunction with the City Council, RSTP arranged for an appropriate plaque to be placed at the library to honor Walter Piston, a Rockland native who won two Pulitzer Prizes in Music. RSTP conducted a contest to name Snow Marine Park off Mechanic Street. A plaque will be placed at the site this spring.
