Donna Kristen Cundy - Bio

I grew up on Monhegan Island. My island roots go back more than four generations and include my great-grandfather Captain William S. Humphrey who delivered the mail by sail on his schooners "Goldsmith Maid" then "Effort". My father has been a lobsterman on Monhegan for more than fifty years, three of which I was his sternman. I received my Bachelor of Arts at Colby-Sawyer College where my senior year I won "The President's Award" for my ceramics. I currently live on Monhegan year-round. In the summer I have a studio and am the laundress at the Trailing Yew, and in the winter I'm an Ed-tech at the school and also teach Art, Drawing and Web Design. My first web design student created an award winning site honored by the "Maine Student Web Design Awards".
